Breathless

There are words too fragile for air,
syllables that fracture when spoken.
So instead, I ask for silence—
a silence heavy, trembling,
thick with want.

Whisper your love with the pressure of your hands around my throat,
let your fingers speak louder than lips,
let restraint carve devotion into my skin.

In that moment between pain and surrender,
I hear everything you cannot say,
and I am undone.
