We are never only one thing.
We live in halves—
the world the eye can witness,
and the world that hides behind our ribs.
One is polished for daylight,
all reason, composure, control.
The other thrives in darkness,
all hunger, ache, and unfinished truth.
Most days, we keep them apart.
We walk the line in silence,
holding contradiction like a secret flame.
But what if the shadows were allowed to breathe?
What if the wildness we cage
could stretch into the sun?
What if the truths we bury
were spoken out loud, unashamed?
Perhaps then duality would dissolve—
not into chaos,
but into wholeness.
A life where darkness is not denied
but welcomed,
where longing is not hidden
but honored,
where every piece of ourselves
finally stands in the light.
